Mermaids with Guitars?

Coney Island, NY, June 2010. Was hoping to see at least one Mermaid With Guitar at the Mermaid Parade… but none were spotted. But plenty of dancers making guitar-face! And many costume thematics around mermaids covered in oil. A great, crazy day for self-expression.
And this year’s King Neptune and Queen Mermaid were Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson.
