It was the writing of many poets that eventually led me to NYC, so it’s probably not so surprising that I relate to the vibe of Ariel Aparicio. This quote is from his web site, explaining the video below: “Message from Ariel: Catholic Boys is one of those records for me… It colors my landscape, it shapes my vision, it inspires the work I’ve done for the last 20 yrs and “People Who Died” is THAT song. The LGBT Academy of Recording Arts nominated Ariel for a 2010 OutMusic Award for Outstanding Rock Song for this.
